Youtube develops animated audiologo for Android TV
Audio Branding it’s a thing
Within a few months back Youtube launched its animated audiologo for Android TV devices and Smart TV sets. It is a loading screen that pops up when the app is opened after a long period of time. The animation includes an identifiable sound with a motion. According to the company:
“The initial idea behind the sound was to have something vibrant, engaging, and easily recognizable, so that as soon as you hear it – even if you’re turned away from your TV or device – you know something’s about to pop up on YouTube.”
Youtube described the sound as:
“A “deep dive” note followed by an upward “glissando” that conveys “a sense of joy and playfulness”. There’s also a melodic two-note “phrase” supposedly mirroring the “two syllables in the name ‘YouTube” with a gate-opening style tone and synth note completing the 3-second opening animation.” Here’s the sound:
The creation of an identifier sound for Youtube, the largest video platform in the world, lays the foundation that Audio Branding it’s a huge and important thing. Knowing cases like Netflix, Prime Video, and other transmissions platforms, Youtube understood that to compete with these massive companies they had to have a sound that differentiates the brand and makes it more recognizable.
As YouTube grows, it moves forward and does not stay behind trends to continue leading the market. Although this animated audiologo is not yet available on all TV sets, it is expected to be more and more present in the future as well as huge overall improvements in the Youtube platform. We could say Audio Branding was the first and very important one.
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
